Knowing how to sell tokens on Robinhood Chain matters more than knowing how to buy them. Buying is one transaction; exiting cleanly is a pipeline — sell the token on Uniswap, move value off the chain if you want it elsewhere, and convert to fiat if you want dollars. Each stage has its own mechanics, its own costs, and its own failure modes, and the failure modes on the sell side are where this chain's documented scam wave actually bites.
This page is the inverse of our how to buy on Robinhood Chain guide. That one gets value in; this one gets it out — the full route from token in wallet to cash in bank, with the honest tradeoffs at every fork.

How do you sell a token on Uniswap on Robinhood Chain?
Selling is a swap in reverse: token in, ETH (or a stablecoin) out. On Robinhood Chain — chain ID 4663, RPC https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com — Uniswap is the primary DEX, with v2, v3, and v4 pools plus UniswapX live. The full sequence:
| Step | What happens | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Connect your wallet | Robinhood Wallet, MetaMask, or any EVM wallet on chain ID 4663 | None |
| 2. Set up the pair | Select your token as the input, ETH or a stablecoin (USDG/USDC) as the output | None |
| 3. Approve the token | Authorize Uniswap's router to move the token you are selling — required the first time you sell each token | One small ETH-denominated gas transaction |
| 4. Check price impact and set slippage | Thin pools punish size; see below | None |
| 5. Swap | The router executes across v2/v3/v4 pools | One transaction; gas paid in ETH |
| 6. Verify receipt | Confirm on Blockscout (robinhoodchain.blockscout.com) | None |
Two mechanics deserve attention on the way out, because they work differently than on the way in.
Approvals apply to the token you sell. When you bought with ETH, no approval was needed — native ETH does not require one. Selling an ERC-20 does. That approval transaction is normal and costs a small amount of gas, but it is also a permission that persists in your wallet after the trade. Approve only what you intend to sell, and clean up afterward — approval hygiene is its own discipline, covered in our revoke approvals guide.
Slippage hits harder on exits. When you bought a fresh token, you were probably one of many buyers pushing into the pool. When you sell — especially if you are selling because momentum turned — you are often selling into a thinning pool alongside everyone else. Price impact is the price movement your own trade causes by consuming pool depth; no slippage setting changes it. If the interface shows high price impact on your sell, the pool cannot absorb your size at anything near the quoted price. Split the sale into tranches, or accept the haircut knowingly. On deep pairs (WETH/USDC, WETH/USDG), 0.1–0.5% slippage tolerance is plenty; on thin memecoin pools, you may need 2–5% just to land the transaction. The full mechanics — approvals, WETH wrapping, routing, error fixes — are in our Uniswap on Robinhood Chain guide.
One practical note: sell into ETH or a stablecoin, not into another speculative token. ETH is the chain's gas token and the asset every bridge and exchange understands; stablecoins (roughly $575M on the chain as of early August 2026, USDG dominant) freeze your exit value in place while you decide the next step.
What does it mean if your sell transaction fails?
A failed sell is not always a settings problem. Triage in this order:
First, the benign causes. "Insufficient output amount" usually means price moved past your slippage tolerance — raise it modestly or split the trade. "Insufficient funds for gas" means you have no ETH buffer; you cannot sell your way out of that, so keep a small ETH reserve at all times. A transaction stuck pending is a gas or nonce issue, not a token issue.
Then, the malicious cause. If buys on a token work and sells revert — repeatedly, at any reasonable slippage, while other people's transactions on the chain confirm normally — you are looking at the signature symptom of a honeypot: a contract written to allow purchases and block exits. Honeypot tokens are a documented, active scam pattern on Robinhood Chain, alongside copycat tickers and the "vanishing tokens" scam, and honeypot.is does not support the chain, so many buyers never ran a check that would have caught it.
Do not keep raising slippage and resubmitting — each failed attempt costs gas and changes nothing about a contract that is coded to refuse you. Work through our can't sell token troubleshooting guide to confirm which case you are in, and use the manual checks in our honeypot checker guide before you touch that contract again. If it is a honeypot, the honest answer is that the money is gone; the useful move is documenting it and warning the next buyer.
This is also the argument for checking before buying rather than after. A honeypot is invisible on the buy and undeniable on the sell — which is exactly why the sell side is where scams surface.
How do you withdraw from Robinhood Chain to another network?
Once you are in ETH or stablecoins, you can leave the chain. Robinhood Chain is built on Arbitrum Orbit and posts data to Ethereum, and to withdraw from Robinhood Chain you have two honest options with a real tradeoff between them.
The canonical bridge: cheapest, slowest. The Arbitrum bridge at portal.arbitrum.io is the chain's native exit. Deposits take about 10 minutes; withdrawals take about 7 days. That week is not a malfunction — it is the challenge window inherited from the chain's optimistic-rollup architecture, the period in which fraudulent state claims can be disputed. You pay no third-party premium, and you trust nothing beyond the rollup itself. If you are not in a hurry, this is the clean path.
Fast bridges: minutes, for a fee, with an extra trust assumption. Stargate (LayerZero), Chainlink CCIP, Relay, Across, and LiFi all serve the chain. These work by fronting you liquidity on the destination chain immediately while the protocol settles behind the scenes — you are paying a fee for someone else to wait out the risk window, and you are trusting that protocol's security model in addition to the chain's. For most exit sizes the fee is modest and the convenience is real; for very large withdrawals, the canonical bridge's stronger guarantees are worth the wait.
Neither option is wrong. The mistake is not knowing which tradeoff you picked. Route choice, step-by-step instructions for both directions, and bridge-specific pitfalls are in our Robinhood Chain bridge guide.
One warning that belongs here: if a withdrawal seems stuck and you go searching for help, know that search results for Robinhood transaction problems are polluted with fake support numbers. Robinhood has no support phone line for chain issues. Report problems only through docs.robinhood.com/chain/report-issue, and never call a number you found in a search result.
How do you cash out Robinhood Chain funds to fiat?
The chain itself has no fiat off-ramp; converting to dollars, euros, or pounds means a centralized exchange or a regulated off-ramp service. The general route:
- Consolidate into a widely supported asset — ETH or a major stablecoin — before you move anything. Exchanges list ETH and USDC everywhere; they do not list your memecoin.
- Move the asset to a network your exchange supports. Some exchanges may add direct Robinhood Chain deposit support over time; until the one you use does, bridge to Ethereum or another supported network first. Sending assets on a network your exchange does not support is one of the classic ways to lose funds — always confirm the deposit network on the exchange side before you send, and send a small test amount first.
- Sell for fiat on the exchange and withdraw to your bank. Expect identity verification (KYC) and, depending on jurisdiction and amount, a processing delay.
We are not endorsing any specific exchange — availability, fees, and supported networks vary by country and change often. The selection criteria that do not change: the exchange is licensed where you live, it explicitly supports the deposit network you are sending on, and its fiat withdrawal rails reach your bank. Robinhood's own app is one venue where its retail users off-ramp crypto in supported regions — as of August 10, 2026 that includes zero-fee crypto trading in the UK via Bitstamp — but what is available to you depends entirely on where you live.
A note on what cashing out means for records: every sell and every conversion is a disposal event, and in the US crypto is generally taxed as property — see our Robinhood Chain taxes guide for the general principles, and keep your transaction history before you need it, not after.
What's the smart order of operations for an exit?
The pipeline, condensed:
- Sell the token on Uniswap into ETH or a stablecoin — approvals, slippage, price impact all checked.
- If the sell fails on a working chain, stop and run the honeypot triage before spending more gas.
- Keep an ETH buffer for gas at every stage — you cannot bridge or swap with a zeroed ETH balance.
- Choose your bridge deliberately: canonical (~7 days, strongest guarantees) or fast (minutes, fee, extra trust assumption).
- Confirm your exchange's supported deposit networks before sending; test with a small amount.
- Export your transaction history for tax records while it is easy to reconstruct.

FAQ
How do I sell a token on Robinhood Chain?
Connect an EVM wallet on chain ID 4663 to Uniswap, approve the token you are selling (a one-time transaction per token), set slippage appropriate to the pool's depth, and swap into ETH or a stablecoin. Gas is paid in ETH. Confirm the result on Blockscout, the chain's official explorer.
Why does selling require an approval when buying didn't?
Buying with native ETH needs no approval, but selling an ERC-20 token requires authorizing Uniswap's router to move it — that is the standard ERC-20 approval mechanism. It costs a small amount of gas the first time per token, and the permission persists until you revoke it.
Why does my sell keep failing when buying worked fine?
If sells revert at any reasonable slippage while the chain is otherwise processing transactions normally, that is the classic honeypot symptom: a contract coded to allow buys and block sells. Stop resubmitting, and run the checks in our honeypot guide — repeated attempts only burn gas.
How long does it take to withdraw from Robinhood Chain?
The canonical Arbitrum bridge takes about 7 days for withdrawals — the standard optimistic-rollup challenge window. Fast bridges like Stargate, Relay, Across, LiFi, and Chainlink CCIP settle in minutes for a fee, in exchange for trusting the bridge protocol's own security model.
Can I cash out Robinhood Chain tokens directly to my bank?
Not directly from the chain. Sell into ETH or a stablecoin, move it to a network your exchange supports, then sell for fiat and withdraw to your bank. Confirm the exchange's supported deposit networks before sending, and expect identity verification on the fiat side.
Do I owe taxes when I sell tokens on Robinhood Chain?
In the US, crypto is generally taxed as property, so selling a token — even into a stablecoin, without touching fiat — is typically a taxable disposal. Rules vary by country and stock-token taxation is unsettled. This is not tax advice; keep records and consult a professional.
Is there a Robinhood support number for stuck withdrawals?
No. Robinhood has no support phone line for chain issues, and search results for transaction problems are heavily polluted with fake support numbers running scams. Report issues only through the official channel at docs.robinhood.com/chain/report-issue, and never call a number from a search result.
