How to Move USDC from Kraken to Arc

Last verified: August 2026By the TrustSwap Team
Today on Arc: mainnet countdown, ARC token news, and every launch — covered daily. → Read today’s briefing

Kraken is one of two spot exchanges Circle named in Arc's day-one cohort, which makes it the exchange most likely to offer direct USDC withdrawals to Arc early — but "named at launch" and "in the withdrawal dropdown" are different events, and Kraken historically adds networks in its own sequence: deposits and withdrawals first, trading later. This page tells you how to read the status, then walks both the direct route and the bridge fallback.

Kraken named in Circle's Arc day-one cohortYes (Circle, Aug 5, 2026)

Circle's announcement listed Kraken among partners "enabling seamless access to USDC on Arc" without specifying deposits, withdrawals or timing, and Kraken itself had published no Arc-specific post at the time of writing. Kraken's established pattern for new USDC networks is a blog post titled along the lines of "USDC deposits and withdrawals now available on [network]" followed by the network appearing in the funding dropdown — that post, or the dropdown entry, is your confirmation. Kraken currently lists USDC on Arbitrum One, Avalanche C-Chain, Base, Ethereum, Ink, Optimism, Polygon, Solana, Sui and Stellar among others; Arc joins that list when Kraken says so, not when a forum says so.

Route A — direct withdrawal (once Kraken lists Arc)

  1. Set up an Arc wallet — MetaMask with Arc added or a hardware wallet through MetaMask — using parameters from the mainnet-live page or docs.arc.io only.
  2. Kraken → Funding → Withdraw → USDC → add or select your withdrawal address.
  3. Choose Arc as the network. Kraken warns explicitly that using the wrong network means funds won't be credited — the network you choose must match the wallet network you set up.
  4. Review the fee (Kraken's are dynamic and shown at confirmation — typically cents to a few dollars, highest on Ethereum), confirm with 2FA.
  5. Confirm arrival on Arcscan (how).

Route B — withdraw to a supported chain and bridge via CCTP

Available today regardless of Kraken's Arc status. Choose a Kraken-supported network that is also a CCTP source chain — Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche, Solana or Ethereum — and bridge from there.

  1. Withdraw USDC from Kraken to your own wallet address on Base or Arbitrum (cheap, CCTP-supported). Read the fee shown.
  2. Add Arc to the same wallet — the address is identical across EVM chains.
  3. Bridge to Arc with CCTP using the bridge guide; Standard mode waits for source finality, Fast mode pays a small protocol fee for speed.
  4. The USDC arrives native on Arc, where it also pays gas (how sending works).

Only use CCTP interfaces linked from docs.arc.io — impostor "Arc bridge" sites have taken users' USDC (scam patterns) — and send a small test first.

How long should you expect to wait for direct support?

Honestly: unknown, and history argues for patience. Even for its own Layer-2, Ink, Kraken launched the chain in December 2024 and added USDC deposits and withdrawals in October 2025 — about ten months. Networks Kraken doesn't own have taken longer. Being named in Arc's day-one cohort suggests Arc is prioritized, and the pattern favors deposits and withdrawals arriving before trading pairs — but no date exists, and any site claiming one is guessing. Route B means you never have to wait.

FAQ

Does Kraken support USDC withdrawals to Arc? Kraken is in Arc's day-one cohort, but the confirmation that matters is Arc appearing in Kraken's USDC network dropdown or a Kraken blog post announcing it. Check the status table above, updated every 90 days.

What does Kraken charge to withdraw USDC? Dynamic per-network fees shown at confirmation — commonly cents on Solana or Polygon and a few dollars on Ethereum. The dialog is the source of truth.

What happens if I pick the wrong network on Kraken? Kraken states funds sent on an unsupported network "will not be credited" and recovery, where possible, carries fees ($200–$500 by case). Match network to destination; see what's recoverable.

Will Kraken list ARC token trading? There is no ARC token — Circle's whitepaper describes an exploratory asset and nothing has launched. Any "ARC" pair anywhere is counterfeit (the full story).

Which bridge should I use from Kraken-supported chains? CCTP, Circle's native protocol — no wrapped tokens, no third-party custody. Follow the interfaces linked from docs.arc.io.
