Sablier Alternatives (2026): Where to Move Your Token Vesting Before the June 2028 Cutoff

What changed, in 110 words. On 13 July 2026, Sablier Labs entered maintenance mode. Product development has stopped. The official interface is funded through June 2028, then passes to the community as open source. Since 13 July the app blocks new vesting streams or airdrops that end after June 2028, blocks all new open-ended payment streams, and will not add new chains. Existing streams, vesting plans and airdrops keep working indefinitely and no one is required to migrate. The contracts were relicensed from BUSL to GPL the same day. Practical effect: a three- or four-year team or investor schedule started today cannot be created on Sablier. Source: Sablier Labs. Last verified 6 September 2026.

Sablier is not shutting down, and this page is not going to pretend it is. Sablier Labs built the best-known token streaming protocol in crypto, ran it for years with zero security incidents, and has been honest about why it is stepping back. Existing schedules keep running. If yours ends before June 2028, you can leave it exactly where it is.

The problem is narrower and more specific than "Sablier is winding down." It is this: the Sablier app now refuses to create a vesting schedule that ends after June 2028. A four-year schedule started this month ends in September 2030. A three-year schedule started this month ends in September 2029. Neither can be created on Sablier today. So if you are a founder about to vest a team allocation, an investor round, or an advisor grant on a standard multi-year timeline, you need a different tool, and you need it before you open the vesting flow, not after your investors have signed off on the schedule.

This page is a router. Sablier had four products, and Team Finance replaces three of them and one not at all. Rather than bury that, the four verdicts are below, followed by a comparison table that includes tools we don't make, a chain table, and a "how to choose" section by team type.

What actually changed on 13 July

Paul Razvan Berg's announcement did three things. It stopped active development on the Sablier product and committed to funding the official interface through June 2028, after which the interface becomes an open-source public good under community stewardship. It applied three restrictions to the interface with immediate effect: no new vesting streams or airdrops ending after June 2028, no new open-ended payment streams at all, and no new chain deployments. And it relicensed the primary EVM contracts from BUSL 1.1 to GPL, two and a half years earlier than the licence's own schedule, so anyone can fork and redeploy them.

Everything already deployed keeps working. Recipients can claim, founders can manage existing plans, and the contracts sit on-chain with no dependency on the company. Berg's stated reasons were commercial, not technical: in his words, "There isn't a venture-scale business in onchain token distribution." The full explainer walks through the announcement neutrally, including the quotes and what forking means in practice. This page is about what to do next.

Which Sablier use case do you have?

Full replacementFixed-term vesting → Team Finance (full replacement)

This is the case the page exists for. Team, advisor and investor vesting on a fixed schedule — linear, or linear with a cliff — moves to Team Finance without losing anything. (If your Sablier schedule used a custom curve, such as exponential or stepped unlocks, Team Finance rebuilds it as linear with a cliff; check the recipient math before you migrate.) Team Finance supports bulk recipient upload from CSV, Excel or Google Sheets, lets the founder end an unvested allocation and reclaim the tokens if a contributor leaves, and gives recipients a claim dashboard. There is no end-date ceiling. A ten-year schedule is as valid as a one-year one. The contracts are non-custodial and audited by CertiK, Hacken, BailSec and Zokyo, and they work on every EVM chain Team Finance supports. The step-by-step migration guide covers reading your existing Sablier schedule and rebuilding it.

Full replacementLockups and timelocks → Team Finance token locks (full replacement, plus one thing Sablier never had)

Sablier's lockup product held tokens until a date. Team Finance token locks do the same, with a public proof page investors can verify. Team Finance also offers liquidity locks — locking LP tokens so a team cannot pull liquidity — which Sablier never offered and which most launch checklists now require. If you were using Sablier lockups alongside a DEX launch, this is the one place the move is an upgrade rather than a lateral step.

PartialAirdrops → Team Finance (two tools, one gap)

Team Finance handles airdrops two ways. Multisender pushes tokens straight into a list of wallets you upload, with nothing required from recipients — no site, no signature, no claim — for a flat $50 on Ethereum. The Airdrop tool runs a scheduled claim campaign: you upload addresses and amounts by CSV, set a claim start time, and recipients connect a wallet on the Team Finance dashboard and click claim, all at the same moment; $150 on Ethereum, and claiming is free for recipients. That covers the two shapes most Sablier airdrop users actually ran — a known list, or a snapshot with a claim window.

The gap is the custom claim front end. Sablier's Merkle airdrops let you host claiming on your own branded page from a published root; Team Finance's claims happen on the Team Finance dashboard. If a white-labelled claim site matters, Sablier's contracts still work for campaigns ending before June 2028, or use a Merkle-claim tool with a hosted front end.

Not Team FinanceOpen-ended streaming → not Team Finance

Per-second salaries and any stream with no fixed end date are not something Team Finance offers; its Payroll product is scheduled disbursement on a vesting-style contract, not a continuous stream. Sablier's app no longer creates open-ended streams at all. Existing Sablier streams keep running. For new open-ended streams, Superfluid is the category leader and the right place to look. There is no Team Finance product for this use case, so there is no Team Finance link here.

Chain table

The strongest reason to move is not that Sablier is winding down. It is that Sablier will not deploy to any new chain, so if your project is launching on a chain that went live after 13 July 2026, Sablier was never an option.

The full overlap, from each product's own chain list on 6 September 2026. On both: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Base, Berachain, Blast, BNB Chain, Monad, Polygon and zkSync Era — existing Sablier schedules there keep running, and new multi-year ones go to Team Finance. Team Finance only, where Sablier is not and will not be: Robinhood Chain, PulseChain, Arc (from 16 September), Unichain, Mantle, Cronos, Kava, Kaia, Flare, Etherlink, Conflux, LUKSO, Odyssey, X Layer and Autheo, plus the non-EVM chains Solana (locks only), Tezos, Algorand, Casper and Stellar. Sablier only: Abstract, Chiliz, Gnosis, HyperEVM, Linea, Lightlink, Mode, Morph, OP Mainnet, Scroll, Sonic, Superseed, XDC and Denergy — if your project lives on one of these, Hedgey covers Optimism, Gnosis and Scroll, and Sablier's existing contracts keep working for schedules ending before June 2028.

How to choose, by team type

Pre-launch team, no token yet. Your vesting will run three to four years from TGE, which puts its end date past June 2028 by a wide margin. Sablier cannot create it. Set it up on Team Finance during token creation so the schedule, the token lock and the liquidity lock are all published together on one proof page before launch. If you are launching on Arc, Robinhood Chain or PulseChain this is the only hosted path anyway.

Post-launch project with investors on an existing Sablier schedule. If the existing schedule ends before June 2028, leave it. It works, it costs nothing to leave, and moving it creates paperwork with your investors for no benefit. Create the next round's schedule on Team Finance. If the existing schedule is cancelable and you have a reason to consolidate, the migration guide explains how; if it is non-cancelable, it cannot be clawed back and you should not try.

DAO with contributor vesting. DAOs churn contributors, so revocability matters more than for a company. Team Finance lets the treasury end unvested allocations and reclaim tokens; use a multisig as the contract owner. If the DAO also runs community airdrops, the Airdrop tool handles a scheduled claim from a snapshot; only a custom-branded claim site sends you elsewhere — see the airdrop verdict above.

Meme or community token. You mostly need a liquidity lock and a team-allocation lock that a scanner can verify, plus a short vesting schedule for whoever holds the team allocation. Team Finance covers all three on one page, and the Meme Central screener reads Team Finance locks directly. Sablier never offered liquidity locks, so there is nothing to migrate here — just something to set up.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sablier shutting down?

No. Sablier Labs has entered maintenance mode: development has stopped, the official interface is funded through June 2028, and the protocol's contracts keep working indefinitely. After June 2028 the interface is handed to the community as open source.

Do I have to migrate my Sablier vesting?

No. Existing streams, vesting plans and airdrops continue to work with no action from you. Migration only matters if you need to create a new schedule that ends after June 2028, or if you want a feature Sablier doesn't offer, such as liquidity locks.

Can I still create a four-year vesting schedule on Sablier?

Not through the official interface. Since 13 July 2026 it blocks any vesting stream with an end date after June 2028. A four-year schedule started in September 2026 would end in 2030, so it is refused.

What happens to Sablier after June 2028?

Sablier Labs' funding commitment for the official interface ends and stewardship passes to the community. The interface becomes an open-source public good. The on-chain contracts are unaffected and continue to operate without an operator.

What is the best alternative to Sablier for vesting?

For fixed-term team, advisor and investor vesting on EVM chains, Team Finance is a full replacement with no end-date ceiling, bulk upload, revocability and liquidity locks Sablier never offered. Hedgey is the other credible EVM option. For Solana vesting, Streamflow or Bonfida; Team Finance offers only liquidity locks on Solana.

Does Team Finance do claim-based airdrops like Sablier Airdrops?

Yes, with one difference. The Team Finance Airdrop tool runs a scheduled claim campaign where recipients claim from the Team Finance dashboard; Multisender pushes tokens directly with no claim step. What it does not offer is a white-labelled claim page on your own domain — for that, Sablier's contracts still work for drops ending before June 2028.

Can I still use Sablier's contracts if I fork them?

Yes. The primary EVM contracts moved from BUSL 1.1 to GPL on 13 July 2026, so anyone can fork and redeploy them. You would be running your own interface and your own deployments, which is a reasonable path for a technical team and an unreasonable one for most.

Will Sablier deploy to Arc, Robinhood Chain or PulseChain?

No. Sablier Labs has said there will be no new chain deployments, and none of the three is on its supported list. Team Finance vesting is available on all three.
