How to Grow Your Crypto Project After Launch

10 Strategies to Help Grow Your Web3 Project

So you’ve launched your token.
But now comes the hard part: staying relevant, gaining adoption, and growing in a market that forgets fast.

At TrustSwap, we’ve helped launch Web3 projects across multiple blockchains for years. We’ve seen what works (and what flops) once the initial hype fades. Whether you're a meme coin, SaaS, Oracle, or DEX, here are 10 proven ways to grow after launch - plus one bonus tip the smartest founders always use.

1. Maintain Post-Launch Momentum

The worst thing you can do after launch? Go quiet.
Keep the energy alive with regular updates, roadmap check-ins, and transparent communication. Projects that keep shipping - even in small ways - build long-term trust.

How many times have you seen a roadmap image on a landing page, and the project are still nowhere near their "Q3 Projection"?

If you keep your developers active, responding to the marketing and what your community actually wants - you stand greater chances at success.

2. Engage Your Community Daily

Crypto isn’t just tech - it’s tribal.
Host AMAs, respond in Telegram and Discord, ask for input, run polls, and feature your users. Community engagement isn’t a side quest. It’s the mission.

Please don't rely on bots, automated AI agents, or the occasional check-in from a team member. Your KOLs speak volumes so engage them with the community you already built.

Make sure you keep marketing what you built, but don't overly push the PR - people didn't join to be sold to.

3. Incentivize Real Usage

Don’t just reward holders - reward users.
Offer staking rewards, utility incentives, discounts, or early-access perks for interacting with your platform. Your token needs to be part of a system, not just a speculative asset.

But don't forget them post-launch - the community onboarded for a reason, so incentivizing adoption is an on-going battle.

4. Secure High-Quality Listings

Listings matter - but timing matters more.
Target listings on key DEXs and CEXs that fit your audience. Coordinate with marketing efforts and product launches for maximum visibility and volume.

This is where co-marketing will do both sides of the equation well!
Consider blending the branding, borrowing graphical themes from each other, and learn what the users of those DEXs / CEXs look for - and speak directly to them.

5. Use Strategic Partnerships

You don’t grow alone.
Partner with other protocols, blockchains, tools, and influencers that complement your mission. As above, look for audience overlap and co-marketing opportunities to grow faster together.

We often build in a silo, and then expect the web3 world to immediately jump onto our product or service. But we need to partner with like minded projects.

Researching projects that might align with yourself can really help - consider actively searching on social media, listing directories, tool / software comparison sites, etc.

6. Double Down on Content & SEO

Own your narrative before someone else does.
Produce high-quality blogs, tutorials, explainers, and thought leadership. Use SEO to rank on Google for relevant searches and capture new organic traffic over time.

Web3 often forgets about long-form content, or tries and forgets it.

A major tip here: If you can secure a great writer, that knows your coin, audience, or product really well - get them to write content at least twice a week. This will absolutely smash the audience.

Oh, and put the blog content on your domain, not Medium or Notion!

7. Track On-Chain & Off-Chain Metrics

Let data drive your growth.
Monitor TVL, holder distribution, app usage, bounce rates, and social sentiment. Make product, marketing, and community decisions based on what’s working - not just gut feel.

There's a host of free tools to do this: Google Analytics, Search Console, Dune.com, HotJar, Arkham Intelligence, etc.

8. Iterate Fast Based on Feedback

What worked last quarter might not work next month.
Be agile. Kill underperforming features. Double down on sticky ones. Listen to your users, test updates in public, and show the world you’re adaptable.

As above, there are free tools to gather feedback if you don't want to openly ask in Telegram or Discord. Consider offering early access to beta programs or to promote someone's coin if you aren't getting any valid responses.

9. Expand to New Chains or Markets

New chain = new users.
Deploy to new ecosystems, localize for new regions, or create entry points for new user types. Crypto is global - your project should be too.

This is why bridging took off and continues to be a major point for many web3 projects.

New blockchains are springing up faster than you count, so track them carefully and listen to what your users are considering.
